Waste a couple of hours this morning on personal legal stuff - very boring and so unnecessary - I hope that's the end of it - and end up being 45 mins (and unshowered) late for my book club.
We've been reading The City of Falling Angels by John Berendt. which had a fairly good reaction from each of the 20 people who came along to Chez Vero's restaurant in Congenies (the old cave cooperative). Granny, grandad and 'A' took Alicia for a walk along the voie verte with her dolly's pushchair - she picked wild flowers for me and was frightened by a butterfly :o)
Lunch at Chez Vero's was good - 3 courses for only Euro12 - bargain! Ordering the meal was nothing if not confusing (3 different price menus and 17 people who are only half listening in another language.) But it was tasty when we got it.
We are having the second hand book market of BritsNimes in this resto too. The owner J-P is going to be doing a 600 person mail out and offers us space in his envelopes - so this afternoon, I knuckle down and compose a few words for the compliment slip sized advert - and Benoit translates it.
I also print 100 business cards for Benoit and 30-odd leaflets for French Help Services Everybody else is sitting on the living room floor playing with Lego MIndstorms.
I've made so much cannelloni - we have to have it to eat again tonight....
