More DIY

Lots of futzing around this morning - partly due to Alicia not waking up until gone 9am (unheard of) ... then emails to be written sorting out problems.

THE big cheque arrived yesterday for my old house - so very pleased with that.

Another trip to Monsieur Bricolage this afternoon - I nip into the Intermarche for fajitas stuff and a bottle of wine and some balloons... Alicia plays up after I've forcibly removed her from the noisy cars and bikes that you have to put Euro2s in to work... and on the way out of the supermarket, my flimsy Intermarche bag (OK I should have taken my own) opens up and drops my bottle of Picpoul de Pinet drops onto the floor (everybody turns to look at the English fishwife, with the screaming kid who's alcohol just hit the deck...)

Onto Aubais to instal a dimmer switch (I can't believe they cost Euro38 for a little dimmer switch here..) instal a U bend in a smelly shower and a few other things...

After we go around to Florence's for a glass of Port and some olives marinated in basil... lovely... the Godin was on and it was 28C in the living room... toasty.
