May Day

Today is May Day - the day to give Muguet - Lily of the Valley to friends and family - and we were going to go cycling with friends along the voie verte, but the weather forecast on www.meteofrance.com was just terrible... storms and rain apparently for just about everywhere in France - so that knocked that one on the head.

Instead, we did major sorting out in the house and in the courtyard (before it did start to rain mid-afternoon) I actually used a garden-hoover-thing that I got as an anniversary present from my ex-husband yonks ago to get rid of all the bamboo leaves that seemed to reproduce all over the garden.... and I went through all my old bills, receipts and utility bills from my old house - ready to go into storage for the next 10 years or so.

Sounds really boring here - but I really felt we got something done today.. and today seemed to last for ages too. Perhaps it was because we had to have Radio 3 on.... snore whistle....
