A day in the Vaucluse

I'm convinced it was the hottest day of the year so far today. After an hour and a half in the car from Aubais to Vaison la Romaine it was definitely a sweaty bottom situation (sorry, too much information I know, but I don't see why I have to suffer alone.) We off up there for a 'builder / experte' to have a look at an old stone house a client is buying - it's gorgeous (the house, not the builder - well, he's OK too) and the village is even more gorgeous-er. Very cosy and quaint. (sorry no photos of the house above, but this is the village and the views around-about). All well with the house, the fosse septique causes a few concerns which are addressed and sorted.

After a crepe for lunch (and a massive ice cream with creme de marrons) we're invited to a local B&B for a glass of water and a chat. This is a beautiful house with resident donkey - and fabulous views.

Home about 1630hrs - enough time for a quick shower and off out to Sete with Benoit.

Thanks, Wendy. Could not have done this without you -- from booking dozens of appointments with immobilier and particuliers to this unusual request for an independent, expert inspection (a la Americaine). You did it all. And then you saved me from consuming that giant ice cream Sunday all alone! Now that's service....
