Roque d'Aubais

It's pretty cloudy out there today - we've done no exercise all week - so we decide to take a walk in the opposite direction to where we always seem to bike..... At the bottom of the hill in Aubais there are some yellow walking and biking signs and it says that the Roque d'Aubais is only 2.5kms away... so off we toddle.

THE most wonderful thing about rural France in my opinion are the wild flowers everywhere - you're a bit late for the poppies now but the fields all along the walk to the river and the Roque were full of yellow and white flowers - absolutely amazing not to mention the noise of the Cigales in the pine trees too.

We feel a few blobs of rain when we get down to the river, have some water and a biscuit and get back into Aubais for 12 noon in time to buy some bread and get home and eat it with some nice ham and cheese.

And for the life of me, I can't remember what else we did in the afternoon.... Above is the chateau at Aubais.
