When Alicia's daddy stayed for the parent's meeting on the Saturday morning, following her start at school. (I had to nip off smartish at 10am as I had a hot date with the All Blacks V Italy - see new photos on the left here) - he mentioned that the teacher said they were going to start teaching the kids to recognise their own name written down.

As I'm so keen that Alicia isn't going to get left behind in the language stakes - I Googled around to find some websites for homeschooling pre-schoolers - I was looking for 'flashcards' and other games we could print out and play. This site is quite good. Although I'm not keen on the constant referring to the bible, especially under the subject 'science'.

Alicia can now read:
  • Alicia
  • mummy
  • daddy
  • granny
  • grandad

I'm so proud..... :o)
