Well, we had a storm last night - I was asleep for much of it.... I just remember one big boom and flash and 'A' was out of bed smartish to pull out the phone, telly and computer plugs. I didn't think it was all that bad really... then,
We went to the gite in Aubais to collect keys and check all was OK - there was loads of water and mud on the roads - lots of ditches where water wasn't escaping... and then in Aubais by the football field, someone's very ugly breezeblock garden wall had fallen down into the road. The pool in Aubais had overflowed too - so we reckon we'd had over 20cm of rain. A quick rush around to shut shutters and bring in plants and so on.. and we winterize the pool.
We have a great evening in Montpellier tonight - watching South Africa beat the USA at the Mosson stadium. Great seats give us a Subbuteo-type view as well as vertigo.
Then a Monaco beer at the 3 Brasseurs at the Odysseum after the tram.
Home at midnight and Alicia still isn't asleep.
