Back in the UK

Oh yes, I completely forgot to mention that I spent last week back home in the UK. My first visit in 14 months.

We stayed in my home town of Leicester and spent 2 days up in York with my nephew who is at university there.

The weather was really good (York was a bit damp and foggy on one day) and it was minus 7.5C at 8am on the day we left (we being me and Alicia, 'A' was too buried in work to come..) but generally it was blue sky sunny...

Anyway, saw lots of family and didn't do too much shopping.... for once.

Note the new photos of Montpellier on the sides of this page, taken by Benoit my boss with his new snazz camera.

We're planning on going back to Leicester next Christmas. So that'll make a gap of 16 months. Isa wanted us to go next month for the wedding of a friend of mine in Ravenstone.

I had to say no sadly. We've just bought a brand new sofa (one of those reclining jobbies), two other bits of furniture for the lounge, wallpaper & lights for our bedroom and we're planning on taking a trip down to the Périgord for a week. Well, OK, the accomodation there is free, but there's really only so much the old finances can take, isn't there? :)

Nice to hear you had a nice visit to the old place anyway. When I go back I just feel like a stranger there now...
