Friday's Resto in Montpellier

Séquoïa, Restaurant, 148 rue de Galata Port Marianne, closed Saturday lunch & Sunday, 04 67 65 07 07, www.restaurantsequoia.com

From Esplanade de l'Europe (see MONDAY) cross the Lez and turn right and up the stairs on your left. Along you'll see the Richter campus (the American library is on the 1st floor of it's library) and the Revolution square (Heads of people who's been chopped off or not during the Bloody French Revolution).

At the main bridge turn left & crossover Avenue Marie de Montpellier. Turn right into rue Messine after Marius boulangerie, at the T junction turn right, Séquoïa is further down on your right. Tram stop is Port Marianne. Look for Marius boulangerie.

Very stylish restaurant, bamboo & modernish-Japanise-ish interior... Food wise it's quite sophisticated too. Smart, nice & very efficient staff. Nice treat for a Friday at a reasonable price :

Menu du jour at lunch time, 2 courses 20 €, 3 courses 25 €. Then menu at 41 € (what we call in french "le coup de bamboo") Starters 12-26 € Main 23-32 € Desserts 12 € .

Benoit.
