Saturday's lunch in Nimes

Le Marché sur la table, cuisine de saison - Bistrot à vins, take aways can be ordered, 10 rue Littré, 04 66 67 22 50, closed on Mondays & Tuesdays.

When facing "la Maison Carrée" go to your left along rue Général Perrier, then 2nd left onto rue du Grand Couvent and then immediately right to rue Littré, the restaurant is on the left hand side.

This small area of Nîmes called "îlot Littré" is pedestrianised. The area has been very nicely renovated, nice restaurants and specialised small shops are down there.

Le Marché sur la table has a large terrace at the back (shared with other restos). Their cuisine is elaborate but in a modest way.

Worth the visit.
Starters 7-10 € Mains 17-19 € Desserts 7 €
Menu Dégustation (5 courses) 45 €.

Yes, Benoit's been at it again...
