Le Sud Resto Montpellier

A week last Monday (yes you already know I'm behind) after going to the gyne for a scan (sorry too much info) (all of us, incl my new in-laws and Alicia discovered that we are expecting a little girl) we all went to lunch near 'A's new office in Montpellier - right on the river (right in front of my boss' flat on the Esplanade de l'Europe).

The resto is called Le Sud and is very trendily decorated including a large round bed to lie on when you have drink...

They offer a starter salad, a plat du jour / pasta du jour or tarte du jour for Euro10. Then they do a boule of ice cream (artisanale and very good) and a little coffee for Euro3 (the ice cream is served on the huge saucer). But me, having been poked and prodded and feel sick at the mere sniff of a cup of coffee, just went for 3 boules of mint chocolate ice cream which was absolutely to die for for Euro6.00

The menu enfant was pasta or burger followed by ice cream and a drink - I think it was Euro7... and the ice cream comes in a cute cup shaped like a bunny... which of course, I had to finish when Alicia couldn't manage it.
