THE SPRING HAS SPRUNGAfter the wettest winter in living memory, skies are once more blue and clear, almond trees in full bloom, daffodils turn their yellow heads towards the sun and the wild orchids, at last, burst through the earth in the meadow.
Spring has sprung. The proof of the pudding lies in the activity of the bees, seeking water and blooms wherever they can, an awsome spectacle! It's in times like these that I find solace in my home office and all modern communication systems: nothing can stop me from shoving the telephone in my back pocket and to wander from behind my desk into the warm sunshine and inspect the miracle of nature.
Talking with a client in London over the phone, I could hear screaming sirens and the man's voice reflected the stress he was under, I was describing a château where the only noise was, in the Winter, the deafening sound of a cascade, all in all probably more decibels but for a reason I could not explain, one infinitely more desirable!
