Parachuting in Montpellier

The Odysseum in Montpellier is going to be the new Mecca of parachuting in France... if Georges Freches has anything to do with it.

Montpellier will have one of the biggest simulator of free fall in the world. A machine that will not only serve the general public but the best jumpers in France.

In a center like this, parachutists can do something in the region of 14 jumps a day, when normally they could only do 3 with an aeroplane.

They hope that the American society Sky Venture will look after the construction of the project near the old office of Air Littoral and that it will be in service in 2011. The machine will be able to create a wind of 250 to 300 km/h and it will be capable to keeping a person 1 metre off the ground.
