Get ready for October’s Book Club! October

As of October we’ll be starting our monthly bookclub again! If you would like to join all you have to do is read The House on Sugar Beach by Helene Cooper. The House at Sugar Beach is an astonishing and moving memoir about growing up in Liberia during a violent civil war. Helene Cooper is the daughter of one of Liberia's elite families, but after a coup threw her people out of power she moved to the United States, eventually becoming a journalist. Join our Book Club for a cup of traditional Liberian soup and a great discussion. To help you prepare you can pick up the discussion questions at the bookshop or find them on our website.
