The Great Roman Games in Nimes

This will be something quite special so make a date to see the extraordinary re-enactment of the ancient Roman Games. It's held in the glorious amphitheatre in Nimes in the Languedoc Region of France on April 23rd and 24th. The Americans and the British might be leaders in re-enactments, but we'd better watch out; these are truly spectacular.

Roman legionnaires, Celts, the Imperial Court, auxiliaries, cavalrymen and war chariots will once again make the walls ring with their fights, races and battle cries. Nimes itself is just as festive, with shows and various performances in different parts of the city, themed visits and processions.
